The Bilingual Galilée School in Paris is a private international school located in the heart of Paris in the 16th arrondissement of France.
It welcomes 200 students aged 3 to 15 from around the world in a privileged setting, situated in a city rich in history and culture.
In a fully multicultural bilingual English and French environment, created by more than 30 nationalities from around the world, our bilingual school is now a rich and diverse place that allows our students to be prepared to fully participate in the world of tomorrow.
Our international school in Paris has been recognized for over ten years for the quality of its teaching and supervision. Our demanding curriculum makes us a reference international school in Paris where students form strong bonds with their teachers and multicultural friends, opening up broad horizons for them. It also offers a wide range of subjects. Children thus benefit from a high-level education and the encouragement of creativity in all classes. They are easily integrated thanks to our differentiated study program, facilitated by small class sizes (maximum of 20 students).
An International Dimension in Education
The education provided by our international school in Paris also offers our students the study of three languages starting from bilingual kindergarten (French-English), then the addition of an additional modern language from the age of seven (Spanish). It also offers the opportunity to learn Chinese from the age of six.
Depending on the different levels, between 25 and 50% of the school day is dedicated to English. By the second year of primary school, some students can already take the first Cambridge English exam.
Fluent mastery of English or French is not a criterion for admission to Galilée bilingual nursery and elementary school. It is an immersive approach that facilitates the emotional and social integration of students and their language learning. Students will thus be exposed to the language through different techniques and assimilate it. They will learn to give presentations and participate in discussions on various subjects: to interact in formal and informal settings. Our pedagogy aims to develop language learning strategies and acquire knowledge in English and French: it covers five skill areas: speaking, listening, reading, writing, and interpreting (visual interpretation).
Candidates for Grades 6 to 10 must master at least one of the two major languages of the school and have an intermediate level in the second language.
A Stimulating and Dynamic Learning Environment
In both international and local contexts, we offer our students opportunities to participate in excursions, sometimes within Paris, elsewhere in France, or in Europe. Our students take part in academic competitions in a wide range of fields: mathematics competitions, coding competitions, and sports tournaments, to name a few examples.
They experience a rich and diverse life and learning experience thanks to the cultural diversity of students from kindergarten to the end of middle school. This allows for a unique cultural experience, notably through the opportunity to make friends from around the world and exposure to new cultures and traditions. This encourages children to develop a global outlook on life.
Our private school is committed to imparting the knowledge and skills that will enable our students to be the leaders of the future. To mention just one example: our Green Project launched in 2022: this Eco-Schools program in which our institution has participated is the largest global educational project dedicated to sustainable development.
